Every AI coding agent makes you wait. While it's 'Thinking…', you sit there looking at a spinner. claudearn slots one tasteful sponsored line into that spinner for about five seconds while the agent works, and reports that the line was shown so your earnings can be tallied. That's the entire job.

Does claudearn read my code? What it can and can't access

No. claudearn does not read your code, your prompts, your open files, your repo, or your keystrokes. This isn't a pinky-promise — it's a property of how the thing is built. The extension paints a line on the spinner's display layer and counts that the line was seen. Your agent does its thinking locally, exactly as it did before claudearn existed.

The advertiser pays for an impression, so an impression is the only thing that needs to leave your machine. There's no business reason to read your code and no code path that does it. We cover this in depth in does claudearn read my code, but the boundary is simple:

Why we don't ask for your seed phrase and never hold your funds

Your seed phrase is the master key to your entire wallet. A legitimate app never needs it — and claudearn never asks. To claim USDC, you sign a short message to prove you control the wallet; signing a message is not the same as handing over your keys, and it can't move your funds.

claudearn is also non-custodial: we never hold your money. Earnings sit as an on-chain balance you claim directly to your own self-custody wallet. We can't freeze it, spend it, or lose it for you, because it was never in our hands. That's the whole point of paying in USDC on Solana instead of store credit you can't withdraw.

How to uninstall or turn it off anytime

Control is one click in both directions. You can toggle the sponsored line off without uninstalling, or remove the extension entirely from your editor's extensions panel — the same place you'd remove any other extension. Either way, the spinner goes back to plain 'Thinking…' immediately.

Any USDC you've already earned is yours and stays claimable to your wallet even after you uninstall, because it lives on-chain, not inside the extension. Nothing about turning it off costs you what you've already earned.
